Through the national legacy programme of the School Games we are motivating, enthusing and inspiring young people from across Herefordshire & Worcestershire, to increase participation and take part in more competitive school sport. There are 3 levels of School Games locally:
Intra-school competition - Sports competition for all students within school. Whilst the emphasis is on competition, we encourage schools to include participation opportunities so that all young people have the option to take part in school sport.
Inter-school competition - Local cluster inter-school competitions. Level 2 is organised and delivered by each School Games Organiser within their districts. Individuals and teams compete against other schools at a district level in order to qualify for level 3.
County champion - Organised by the Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire, young people aged primary, secondary, independent and special schools - both able bodied and disabled - have the opportunity to compete in large scale multi-sport events and also take part in new participation events.
