Workforce Development Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to work as part of the GBA Team to support and develop the wider sport and physical activity workforce across the county. GBA has a specific mission to reduce levels of inactivity in Berkshire (people participating less than 30 mins per week and/or not reaching the recommended levels of intensity) and this role will aim to develop a county wide, paid and voluntary, workforce that has the skills and knowledge to meet this challenge.

About Workforce Development Officer

This role requires an individual willing to evolve and develop the position to ensure the programme makes a real difference and has the desired impact. You will likely have an appropriate degree and relevant experience. You will need to be self-motivated, have brilliant interpersonal skills and be a great and supportive team player. At a glance:

  • An initial 18-month fixed-term contract (extendable dependent upon progress and future programme funding)
  • Full-time but will consider other options for the right candidate
  • In the order of £23-£26.5K per annum depending upon experience
  • Excellent Pension Scheme
  • Great working Location
