About Data and Insight Manager

Our vision is to create a vibrant, healthy and prosperous Yorkshire through sport. We do this through working with a wide range of partners to help make sport and physical activity an everyday part of people's lives.

All our work needs to be underpinned by quality data and insight, drawn from a wide range of local, regional and national sources. We also need a highly effective performance measurement system that can show the impact that our sector, including ourselves, is having on social outcomes and activity rates. This will include qualitative insight along with statistical data.

In driving the development and operation of a systematic approach to this the post holder will be a crucial part of our team.

A major part of the work will be working with our partners in local authorities, universities and other organisations, influencing the way performance is being measured in a much more integrated way than present.

The post holder will also be our digital lead; linking with the open data institute and other agencies to ensure we are at the forefront of promoting future practice.

We are looking for a highly numerate, logical thinker who also has the personal attributes to build effective partnerships and networks. It's a huge opportunity to influence the way in which sport and physical activity is delivered across our area.
