About Project Manager (Children & Young People)

Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire (SPHW) is the strategic lead for physical activity and sport across the two counties. Our purpose is to 'create a more active and healthier Herefordshire & Worcestershire by enabling a thriving, sustainable environment of physical activity and sport'.

Funded by Sport England we are part of a national network of Active Partnerships and we are currently in a position to recruit for a Project Manager (Children & Young People) on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2021.

We are looking for someone to join our enthusiastic and high performing team who can bring with them a passion for developing opportunities for children & young people to be active. You will have experience of managing multiple projects and programmes, ideally within a CYP environment, as well as the ability to develop and manage new opportunities.

This role will require you to work with a varied range of local partners and stakeholders so the ability to engage and network effectively will be crucial.

You will also have experience of line managing staff as this role comes with the responsibility of managing 2 project officers delivering on both Sport England and externally funded programmes.

An ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities is essential, as is a willingness to work unsociable hours. You will be a self starter with good team building and networking skills, which are critical to this role. If you are highly motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of project management, we want to hear from you.

Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire is an equal opportunities employer and so welcomes applications from all members of the community.

The deadline for applications is 23:59hrs on Wednesday 26th June 2019
