The are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available to clubs, groups, facilities, coaches and talented individuals. The finding finder below can help you identify suitable sources of funding for your project, programme or facility development.

The Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire can provide additional advice and support to your club/group to identify the most suitable sources of funding and the team can also help with the application process. Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to the Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire’s Funding Finder. To submit a funding source click on the ‘Add Fund’ icon and complete the form. All submissions will be approved prior to becoming live.

The Princes Trust Development Award

Our Development Awards can help to cover costs such as: course fees, transport or equipment to help you achieve your plan to get into education, training or employment.

Advanced Learning Loans for Level 3 or 4 courses

Amount: £300

Apply for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan to help with the costs of a course at a college or training provider if you’re 24 or older. The course must be an eligible Level 3 or 4 course. Courses are paid for by a loan scheme, for which monthly re-payments are due only when you are earning over £21,000 per annum.

Budweiser Club Futures

Amount: £50,000 to £100,000

The programme aims to help clubs become more financially sustainable and play a bigger role in their local community. This is aimed at Football Clubs (non –league clubs in steps 5-7) with funding available between £50,000 to £100,000.

Interest Free Loans

Amount: up to £100,000

Rugby Football Foundation’s Interest Free Loan scheme provides up to £100,000 in an interest free loan to capital works to clubs at level 4 and below.

Wells Sports Foundation

Amount: £500 to £2,000

Grants from £500 - £2,000 available for coaching & umpiring qualifications through your sports club to support development of children & young people.

Amount: £10,000 to £75,000

Grants of £10,000 - £75,000 available to organisations to grow hockey at youth or community level.

Woodward Charitable Trust

Amount: £100 to £5,000

Small grants, between £100-£5,000 (around 100 grants made per year) for social inclusion projects. Prospective applicants should be aware that less than 15% of the applications received are successful.

Sport England - Community Asset Fund

Amount: £1,000 to £150,000

Sport England's Community Asset Fund is a programme dedicated to enhancing the spaces in your local community that give people the opportunity to be active. There are a number of things that they want to achieve with this funding, but most importantly they want to help local organisations to create quality and financially sustainable facilities that benefit their community for years to come – which may mean providing help to get things up and running too.

Barchester Charity Foundation - Reconnecting Disabled people with Local Community

Amount: £100 to £5,000

Barchester’s Charitable Foundation is a registered charity that helps older people and other adults with a disability across England, Scotland & Wales. This year our focus is about connecting or re-connecting people with others in their local community. Applications that combat loneliness and enable people to be active and engaged will receive our highest priority in 2017.

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation Youth Work Grant

Amount: £10,000 to £60,000

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation (PHF) has a grant fund of £25m a year until 2021 and £4m a year has been set aside for projects focused on helping marginalised young people. Youth work organisations can apply to two new funds - a Youth Fund and a Growth Fund. The Youth Fund will provide grants of between £10,000 and £60,000 to go towards core operating costs.

Birmingham and Black Country Communities Fund grants are awarded from the earnings of a number of endowment funds, which are created from contributions by individuals, companies and trusts and managed by Heart of England Community Foundation.
