be a not-for-profit sports group or club supporting the participation of local people in amateur sport (grants cannot be made to individuals, sole traders, organisations established to make a profit, schools, colleges, universities, local authorities, NHS organisations or organisations which can distribute funds to members)
be based and operate within Redcar & Cleveland Borough, Scarborough Borough, or the North York Moors National Park.
