Sportivate and Satellite Club funding available in Herefordshire and Worcestershire

We are inviting applications from a range of organisations to deliver sport and physical activity to inactive young people. Projects should be innovative and driven by demand and can be funded by either of the funding streams below:

Sportivate provides 6 to 8 weeks of sport or physical activity sessions for 11-25 year olds, which are designed to be exciting and sustainable opportunities that provide an exit route at the end to ensure sustained participation. Participants should be inactive (currently taking part in no more than 3 sessions of activity a month).

Satellite clubs are run by established sports clubs with the aim of attracting a new audience to their sports club. Bringing their expertise to a setting which young people are familiar with (such as a school) makes the transition from regular, long term school or college sport to community clubs much easier. It targets those aged 14-25 and predominantly inactive.

Please find more information at http://www.sportspartnershiphw.co.uk/satellite-clubs or contact Bethan Watson (b.watson@worc.ac.uk) about Sportivate or Lindsay Hacking (l.hacking@worc.ac.uk) about Satellite clubs if you have any questions or would like to discuss a project or application further.
